After a long, long, long wait, SUMMERLYPSE, my multi-cultural YA contemporary will finally see the light (hopefully NOT that of the oncoming train).
Summerlypse’s been “in the works” since early 2013 and has gone through countless revisions, beta-readers, agents’ inboxes, tantrums, tantrums–the whole enchilada.

There comes a time when extraordinary things happen to ordinary people, like winning. And, yup, I won something. And that something is an annual writing competition. First reaction? I don’t believe it. Next? OMG! After that, a hangover. What happens next? Really. What. Happens. Next?
That’s what happens next. Work on the next project. Find your next win. Earn it.
I’m still hungover, but I do feel optimistic, as if this win predicted bigger ones to come in the future. So, time to put on my sunglasses on and sing, “The future’s so bright I gotta wear shades…”
